Of what wood is my Harpsicle™ Harp made?
The Harpsicle™ Harp pillar and arch are made of solid maple while the soundbox is a European birch laminate. Harpsicle™ Harps are not designed to be a high-end instrument. If that is what you are interested in, we recommend checking out our Rees Morgan Meadow Harp. The intention behind the design of Harpsicle™ Harps is that they have a lovely voice, be inexpensive, and accessible.
Can I add levers to my Harpsicle™ Harp?
In order to put levers on a harp, bridge pins are necessary. The basic Harpsicle™ Harps are patterned after the renaissance harps and are built without bridge pins. Not putting bridge pins and levers on a harp dramatically reduces the cost of building the instrument. Therefore, levers cannot be added to Harpsicle™ Harps. We do make Sharpsicle™ Harps, Flatsicle™ Harps, and Fullsicle™ Harps, which have bridge pins added below each tuning pin. Sharpsicle™ Harps , Flatsicle™ Harps , and Fullsicle™ Harps come with modified Robinson sharping on the C and F strings and other levers can be added as needed for $15 a lever.
After I place my order, how long until my Harpsicle™ Harp ships?
Currently we have many Harpsicle™ Harps in stock! This means most orders can ship out immediately, however on rare occurances, like any small business, we may run out of hardware (levers, bridge pins, wrenches, etc) which can cause a delay. Also with the many different lever and color options it could take 1-2 weeks.
How do I know which Harpsicle™ Harp is for me?
If you have no music background and you just want a Harpsicle™ Harp for your pleasure or if you play by ear and do not want to learn music maybe a Harpsicle™ Harp (with no levers) would be fine for you. Many therapy groups do not use levers for their various modes. It plays in the keys of C major and A minor only. You can, however, tune the pins with your tuning wrench to F#'s or F#'s and C#'s or whatever key you want.
If you are musical or have a music background you may want to play more difficult music, or if you want to play with a group (who usually play in different keys) or for church services who use different keys you might want to consider at least a Sharpsicle™ Harp which has F and C levers and can play in the keys of C, G, D, A, E and B minor. Then you can add other levers later if you wish to play in even more keys.
If you feel the Sharpsicle™ Harp does not have enough key options you can get the Flatsicle™ Harp. The Flatsicle™ allows you to play in the keys of C, G, D and F, also A, E, B and D minor. It has the additional lever on B so you can make B flats. Those used to playing in the key fo F love the Flatsicle™ Harp.
The Fullsicle™ Harp is the ultimate Harpsicle™ Harp with levers on every note giving you the freedom to play in all the keys you desire. Pianists and muscians love the Fullsicle™ Harp.

I noticed the Harpsicle™ Harp does not have a decorative point, can that be added on? Can the decorative point be sanded off of my Sharpsicle™ Harps , Flatsicle™ Harps or Fullsicle™ Harps?
We are sorry, but we are unable to make this custom change in the design of the harp due to our very busy production line as well as the structural design of each model in the Harpsicle™ Harp line.
Can I trade my Harpsicle™ Harp up for another harp in the Harpsicle™ Harp line?
No. A Harpsicle™ Harp cannot be traded up for any other harp in the Harpsicle™ Harp line. If you have a Sharpsicle™ Harp or Flatsicle™ Harp and want to trade-up for another harp in the Harpsicle™ Harps line there is no need, you can contact us to have levers added to make it the harp desired.
