Harpsicle® Harp
Plays in the keys of C major and A minor

The light weight Harpsicle® Harp is perfect for beginners or the casual harp player. This basic Harpsicle® harp plays primarily in the keys of C and A minor and does not have sharping levers (Sharping levers allow the player to change keys by flipping specific levers). There is a life time of great music written for harp in the key of C and A minor. In fact all of the Harpsicle® Harp music sets available on our website are written to be fun and easy and are in the key of C and A minor.

If needed the Harpsicle® Harp can be retuned to play in a desired key by useing the included tuning wrench to manually retune the harp. This isn't as fast and practical as using levers that are provided on the other harp models. Don't worry beginners, when first learning to play the harp you won't need bother with changing keys.

If you think that you will want to play in other keys frequently then you may want to consider the Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™, or Fullsicle™ Harps. These harps come equipped with different sharping lever combinations making it easy to quickly change the key you want to play in just by flipping a few levers. If budget is a major factor then the Harpsicle® Harp is perfect for keeping it fun and simple.

Fullsicle® Harp
Plays in all Keys.

The Fullsicle™ Harp is the most popular of the Harpsicle® Harps. It has bridge pins and Rees Levers on all strings, allowing access to all keys, however like all fully levered harps, the Fullsicle™ harp will require an initial retuning to make those keys eccessable. This is explained below*

$799 Purchase and pick color

Acoustic/Electric option available: You can now have an internal electric pickup installed so that your Fullsicle® Harp can be played directly through an amplifier!

*Tuning your Fullsicle™ harp to play with flats:  Keys of F, B flat, E flat tuning to the key of F major.  (using B flats)
1.  Raise all your B levers.
2.  Tune your harp as usual tuning the B's to a natural as usual.
3.  Leave the B levers up for all keys except when you need B flats.  Then for F major (B flats) lower the B levers and it will lower your B's 1/2 step to the flat.
4.  If you want to play a song with 2 flats key of B flat major (B flat and E flat), use this same procedure and include all E's.  Then the B flats and E flats will remain up, as naturals, unless you need them as flats.
5.  If you want to tune for the key of E flat major (B flat, E flat and A flat), use the same procedure and add the A's.

Many harpists leave their harps tuned to E flat (with the B's, E's and A's up).  Then they are able to play in up to 4 sharps and up to 3 flats without retuning their harp.

Grand Harpsicle® Harp (Electric semi-acoustic harp)

The Grand Harpsicle® is one of the most unique harps available today. There is nothing like it and it has thrown tradition to the wind. The Grand Harpsicle® Harp is an electric harp, but if desired it can also be played acoustically. This is a feature not found in other electric harps. It is a full range harp with 33 strings, (two octaves below middle C and two and a half octaves above Middle C.) but weighs no more than a professional electric guitar (around 10 pounds.) It can be played as a floor harp or strapped on to play while standing and moving. It can even be played like a lap harp used with the Harpsicle® Stick.

The Grand Harpsicle® Harp is equipped with the Mi-Si Acoustic Trio System which features an active, battery-free preamp. Simply charge the internal preamp for 60 seconds with the provided wall charger and you're ready to plug in to an amp or PA system for up to 16 hours of play time. For the best results, the amp used should be a bass or keyboard amp to be able to handle the strong bass tones. The amp should be rated at 40 watts or more (A guitar amp is not recommended).

The Grand Harpsicle® Harp is now being used for everything from wedding receptions, to jazz and rock concerts, Irish pubs and New Age groups. The Grand Harpsicle® Harp is also ideal for therapy work because of its mobility, weight, and extended 33 string range. Only your imagination can limit the possibilities with the Grand Harpsicle® Harp.

Please note: Because the soundbox on this harp is designed to be narrow and portable, the acoustic sound is a little thinner compared to a harp with a larger soundbox. When plugged in this harp truely shines and is a real performer. If you are looking for a harp with a larger octave range than the smaller Harpsicle® Harps, and want a harp with an acoustic sound that will nock your socks off, then please visit ReesHarps.com for our complete line of concert lever harps.
