We are taking pre-orders for our NEW Backpack Harpsicle® Harp Bag. This bag is truly top quality, handmade in the USA by our concert harp bag maker. It has comfortable backpack straps for hands free and care free traveling. A shoulder strap and short handles are also included. The bag has two accessory pockets on the front in which you can stow your chromatic tuner, music and other accessories. Extra padding inside the bag protects the wood of the harp pillar from the zipper of the bag.

This bag fits the following harp models: Harpsicle®, Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™, Fullsicle™, and Special Edition Fullsicle™ Harps. Due to our long waiting list and high demand for these bags, orders may take 1 - 2 months to make.

The Adjustable Stand for Harpsicle® Harps turns your Harpsicle®, Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™, Fullsicle™ or Special Edition Fullsicle™ harp into a floor harp making it easier for the harp to be played, displayed, and to stand on it's own. The Adjustable Stand takes the balancing act out of holding a lap harp, making it easy, and more accessible for everyone.

This sturdy Adjustable Stand pivots the Harpsicle® Harp to different angles and adjusts to different heights for a perfect fit. The bottom of your harp can be elevated from 10" to 18" off the floor. The harp can be adjusted to be played while all three feet of the stand are firmly planted on the floor or it can be adjusted so that the harp and stand can be leaned back together on two feet with the raised foot pointing away from the player.

This stand is only available in natural wood with metal legs. For stability reasons this stand does not raise high enough to be used for playing while standing.

The Harpsicle® Harp Stick makes it more comfortable to hold your Harpsicle® brand Harp on your lap while playing. The Stick is solid wood and is quick and easy to install and to remove. If you click on the “Additional Info” tab you can watch a video which shows how convenient the Harpsicle® Stick is to use.

As with all lap harps, some folks find it difficult to keep them balanced in their laps. The Harpsicle® Harp Stick, Strap, and Adjustable Stand are all accessories that make holding your harp easy and relaxing. The Harpsicle® Harp Stick easily clamps to the inside of the lower access hole on the back of the harp, adding a horizontal bar that rests across your thighs. It will also work on most other lap harps. Available in natural wood.

If you order a Special Edition Fullsicle™ Harp and you also wish to order a Stick, you may select either cherry or walnut to match your SE. (Available exclusively to SE owners.)

We are using the new LR Baggs IBEAM Active System (Classical). It is a combined pick-up and pre-amp with a 1/4 inch jack connector. This pick-up is specifically voiced for nylon string instruments and has a high degree of fidelity which will bring out the dynamically rich voice of your Harpsicle® brand Harp. The pre-amp is also specifically designed to add a bit of compression and auto-EQ to render a warm, analog voicing without the need for an additional EQ board. The IBEAM Active system is powered by a common 9V battery, which provides approximately 1,000 hours of playing time when plugged in. Note: Make sure to unplug any cables from the harp when you are not using it. This will prevent the battery from being drained through the cable when you are not using it.

Note: strings sets are all custom made, by hand, by a small, quality, US-based company. Occasionally, they get busy and our string orders are delayed. Be sure to order your Upgraded Bass Strings several weeks before you need them.

Greatly improve the sound, feel, and bass response of your Harpsicle®, Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™, or Fullsicle™ Harp with this upgrade. These four upgraded wound bass strings will dramatically improve the bass notes of your harp.

If you already own a harp and would like to install these strings yourself, your harp must have been made in 2012 or later and have the four larger eyelets on the bottom string holes through the soundboard. here are instructions on how to put on a new string, see Changing a String.

(NOTE: this is not an upgrade for the Special Edition, Grand, or Brilliant Harpsicle® Harps as these models already come standard with wound bass strings.)

Because Murphy’s Law is real, every harper should be prepared for the day when something goes wrong. For instance:

• a child throws an egg salad sandwich at the soundboard of your harp (this really happened to us!)

• a string breaks 15 minutes before the concert you have ben practicing for for the last six months

• wind blows your harp over an hour before a wedding gig and one of your sharping levers is damaged

• one day a string begins to buzz against a lever totally out of the blue

• a mocha latte and your harp suddenly become intimately involved

…In short, life happens and advance preparation makes all the difference. The Rees 911-HARP Kit is your insurance against Murphy. Each Kit is tailored to the model of your harp. For those with the basic Harpsicle® Harp, the 911-HARP Kit will not include lever regulation supplies but for all other models your Kit will be outfitted to support the Rees levers on your harp. Those with Sharpsicles™, Flatsicles™ or Fullsicles™ all have the same Kit type BUT, if you have the upgraded bass strings on your Sharpsicle™, Flatsicle™ or Fullsicle™, go ahead and order the SE Kit.

A clean harp is a happy harp!  Our Harp Cleaning Kit includes a bottle of specialized cleaning spray and a micro fiber towel.  Harpo "No More Marks" Cleaning Spray is the first cleaning product exclusively developed for and tested on harps. It gently cleans and removes oil and grime build-up and has a soothing lavender scent. Harpo Harp Cleaning Spray was developed by John Clarke, an industrial chemist with more than 45 years experience, for his wife, professional harpist, Carol Thompson.

Cleaning spray directions:  

First try the product on a small, inconspicuous area on your harp or other wooden instrument. (If you have a Rees Concert Line Harp or a Rees Harpsicle® brand Harp, we have already tested the spray on our finishes so you can just go ahead to the next step.)  Spray onto the cloth provided. Do not spray directly onto the harp. Rub scratches using a gentle, circular motion.  Do not scrub hard.  After cleaning, apply a good quality furniture polish. We recommend Pledge Lemon Enhancing Polish.*

Harpo Harp Cleaning Spray is biodegradable and non-toxic. 

*Our recommendation of Pledge Enhancing Polish is not random. A number of years ago Fine Woodworking magazine conducted a review of various furniture polishes and carnauba wax polish. They determined that if you have the time, carnauba wax is always the best but it is very difficult to apply. The surprise is that after carnauba and well above everything else on the list was Pledge Enhancing Polish (which, at that time, was called “Lemon Pledge with Real Wax”). Amazingly, Pledge actually does what the advertising says it does. It picks up dirt and oil and leaves behind a thin layer of wax which, unlike carnauba, does not cloud.

For harpers, the advantage of Pledge is that trying to get carnauba wax in between all the hardware on the arch and then to get it buffed is virtually impossible but doing the same with Pledge is vastly easier. As always with any cleaner or polish, apply Pledge to a cleaning cloth and then use the cloth to apply a thin layer of polish to your harp.
